We are looking for a qualified and experienced professional to join our growing company in the new role of a Business Development Representative (BDR). As a BDR, you will assist the sales team in lead generation, communication and tracking, coordinating proposals, administrative duties, providing product/services information, answering questions, and resolving any emerging problems that our Partner accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency.

You are enthusiastic, innovative and passionately communicative by nature. You thrive in a face-paced environment and are results-driven, with excellent interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage prospective Partners.

Primary Objectives

  • Reach out to potential Partners through cold-calling and by contacting inbound leads, as well as by replying to phone calls, emails, and social media messages.
  • Take the extra mile to handle questions and concerns with speed and professionalism; follow up to ensure resolution and ensure needs are being met 
  • Create new opportunities with existing Partners by suggesting relevant services
  • Support sales team by maintaining a database of prospects and partners and ongoing communication
  • Assist sales team with presentations, updating sales documents and creating proposals 
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Scheduling of internal and external meetings and events
  • Provide training and support for Partners on Dieselmatic Tools
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Stay current with company offerings and industry trends
  • Manage large amounts of Partner information in the company database. This includes communication history, account details, sales history data, and profiles of inbound leads 
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Safety and Respect of the workforce. 
  • Good interpersonal skills and exceptional time management will be keys to success

Measurables

Month 1:
  • Familiarize yourself with our current Partners, Target Market, Proven Process and Service Offerings
  • Educate yourself on our CRM and communication management tools and SOPs 
  • Compile an extensive list of leads and prospects
Quarter 1:
  • Complete 50 cold calls per day
  • Schedule 50 Intro calls per month
  • Master the management of Lead and Sales tracking in the company database
  • Schedule 20 Proposal Calls for Sales Manager per month

KPIs

  • Lead to Proposal Conversion Rate
  • Sales Cycle Length
  • Customer Acquisition Cost

Growth Opportunity:

Being part of a developing Sales team, this entry-level position will ideally develop into an Account Representative position. With 20 hires slated for 2022, we've got plenty of room for career development and are looking for ambitious team members who have big goals for their personal careers.

Experience

  • BA in Business, Communication, Marketing or a similar field
  • 2-5 years proven sales support experience. Preference to experience in a service based company
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Highly motivated and can work independently
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage time effectively and meticulous documentation skills
